After graduating from SBC, I acquired my music education degree from the University of Manitoba. Sharon and I then moved to Toronto, where I spent a year at the Opera Division of the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. I spent some time singing opera and oratorio professionally in Toronto.
After college I spent 3 years in Germany at Black Forest Academy as Residence Assistant. Upon marrying my husband, Dean, in 1990 we took on the youth pastor position at La Crete Christian Fellowship. These were all marvelous years. We had 2 boys by birth up in northern Alberta as well as taking on a delightful foster daughter.
