The Pattar Diaries - Issue 2

First, allow me to explain the meaning behind the title of these entries. It is tour tradition that the faculty members travelling with the team receive nicknames. A nickname cannot be selected by the recipient, it must be accepted as the name given by group. Karen was the first to give me the nickname "Pattar". I'm not sure if there is any significance to the name itself or if it was just something that seemed to fit. Regardless, the name has now stuck and for this tour I'm Pattar.

The team has been working together very well. Our set-up time is going smoother with each time we perform. Yesterday our performance at the Old Town Hall Theatre meant that all the equipment needed to hauled up two flights of stairs. The students formed a chain-gang and in minutes the trailer was empty.

We have been met with a few challenges as well. Stage space has been at a premium in a couple of places, yet the crew has found creative ways to use the space they have been given. We have also had a huge variety of audiences to minister to. We've been to a high school, a youth drop-in centre, a youth worship night and a couple of churches. From here on out we are mainly in churches.

Continue to pray for us as a team. Pray specifically that we will remain focused on the reason that we are doing this. That our hearts would be intent on bring across the message of reconciliation and hope.
