The Pattar Diaries - Issue 1
We’ve travelled over 2000 kilometres and the teams have performed four times so far. Our first three performances were in the Fort Frances area. Our first stop was SCAP, a Christian School in Stratton, Ontario. Free Servant and New Creation led in some singing and sketches. After a quick tear-down we were off to the Fort Frances Evangelical Fellowship Church for an evening performance. After the busy grad weekend the crew was pretty tired after the first day but gathered back at the church the following morning at 9:30 to continue with the tour.
Tuesday we began the day with heading over to the local High School to join the local ISCF group over the new hour. New Creation challenged the youth with the sketches and then Adrian led the some theatre games. Some of the kids that were there were very taken with some of the Free Servant members and were more than eager to get involved in the games. From there we headed to Thunder Bay to meet up with Scott Penner at the New Hope Youth Centre. The presentation of the drama went over very well. In addition to the drama Malcolm Munroe shared his story through his powerful rhymes.
Today we’ve enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Northern Ontario as we have made our way from Thunder Bay to Sudbury. The bus is a comfortable ride, with plenty of room to stretch out. Jeff Rickey has become the lead DJ, providing the team with a wide range of music. Gino and Pedro are our faithful mascots, and Mat's 20 questions game seems to confound the minds of the college students. Tomorrow we head down to Forest, Ontario, which is Esther's home church. We are looking forward to being there. After tomorrow the bulk of the travelling is over for now.
Here are a couple of pictures so far.
