“Meaningful & powerful!”
“[I received] confidence & strength to go on…”
“[The message] was developed with ME in mind…”
“It is time for me to forgive…”
These are just a few of the comments that ladies made after SBC’s 3rd annual Living Proof Live Simulcast with Bible teacher, Beth Moore on September 15th. A sellout crowd of over 200 women was challenged to walk in faith beyond their comfort zones and to let go of the fears and burdens that hinder that faith. More than 150,000 women participated in the event worldwide.
The Alumni BBQ, held on June 19th, was a great success. Every decade of alumni was represented starting from 1949 to 2010. The rain stopped in time for us to have a beautiful sunny day for the BBQ. Over 150 people gathered to meet old friends, make some new ones and remember their time at SBC.
On Wednesday, April 21st, eighteen administrative assistants from churches in and around Steinbach were treated to a day of appreciation and training. The eighteen women were welcomed by an opening session on planning the design and layout process of desktop publishing.
On Saturday, March 7th, 150 junior high students converged on the campus of Steinbach Bible College for a day packed with fun games, inspiring worship and challenging talks. Retreaters came from as far away as Portage la Prairie, Altona, and Gimli.
Steinbach Bible College was once again bustling with activity as over 100 retreaters and leaders descended upon the campus. Retreaters came from all over the country; some coming from as far away as Lethbridge, Alberta.
The annual Alumni
Soccer Tournament was held on March 28, with a good turnout given the
hour (10 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.) at which this event is played. It was good to see
Professors, Gord, Ernie and Terry join in the fun. We had as many current
students as Alumni, which made for a good mix.
On Sunday, March 30, a muddy SBC parking lot greeted Faspa attendees, but hopefully for the last time. Over 200 friends and alumni came, and donated $17,500 toward air-conditioning the library and paving the parking lot.
What do seniors do on a Monday
morning? This past Monday, March 17 twenty-eight seniors from SEMC came to
visit SBC. As they gathered in the Alumni Gallery they searched the photos of
SBC graduates to find themselves or their friends.
Welcome to our new website. We hope you enjoy looking around and can easily find what you're looking for. We will be adding content to some pages and photos to the gallery. Keep coming back to see what's new.
