Steinbach Bible College students recently completed a month of service and mission in various locations around the world. Mission Exposure, a four week module featured each January and referred to as MissionX by our students, is a highlight of the SBC experience.

Steinbach Bible College students recently completed a month of service and mission in various locations around the world. Mission Exposure, a four week module featured each January and referred to as MissionX by our students, is a highlight of the SBC experience.

SBC students and staff are back to the hustling and bustling of another semester.  The first 3 weeks of January is known as the “Mission Xposure Module”.  During this time, students register for only one class.  Part of the class requirement includes going out “to the world”, turning classroom knowledge into real life experience, while sharing the love of Jesus.

The students have returned from their Mission Xposure trips. The second year students who were visiting northern communities returned late Wednesday evening and the third year students arrived back early Thursday morning and in the evening on Friday.

They came back full of stories of the people they encountered and new perspectives acquired on their own lives and mission. Continue to pray for the students and staff as they process the information and relationships that were built through their different encounters. This coming week the students will be sharing their reflections and stories in chapel. Chapels begin at 11:30am and are open for anyone to attend.

The two teams of senior students and their faculty advisors have left for their Mission X adventures. One team flew to Guyana on December 30th; the other left for the Philippines on January 4th. The Guyana team is led by Terry and Luann Hiebert and Rob Reimer is leading the other team to the Philippines.
