MissionX - International
SBC's MissionX International is the only one of the 3 that is optional. Students choosing to participate are required to apply to an internal SBC 'mission board', raise some financial support, communicate with their church, and spend a semester preparing.
MissionX International is a 3 week experience that helps students to get an introductory exposure to the world and realities of missionary work. They also learn to appreciate the distinctive worship and leadership styles of the host church and culture, as well as a host of different types of ministries that are part of that missionary effort. Personal gift discernment, a sense of God's call, and issues of spiritual formation are frequently addressed as part of the preparation for, and students' participation in Mission X International.
