Certificate of Biblical Studies
The certificate program is a one-year program designed to prepare students with a basic biblical foundation for discipleship in the local Church and in their chosen profession. Looking for one year of growth? This program is designed for you.
Two Year Program
Diploma of Biblical Studies
The two-year diploma program builds on the Certificate of Biblical Studies. In addition to what you learn in your first year, you also learn about the biblical, historical and theological foundations of the life and mission of the church. You will become more effective in your church as you identify and strengthen your ministry gifts.
Three Year Bachelor of Arts Degree
CGA Manitoba will accept the SBC B.A. degree as a requirement to enter their program.
B.A. Christian Studies
The three-year Bachelor of Arts degree is designed for the student who is looking toward pursuing further studies at a seminary level or for those looking for a flexible program to provide comprehensive Biblical study and a good dose of practical training. The program is packed full of Bible/Theology courses. In addition to the core courses you can add any of the focus areas listed below.

Children's Ministry - Preparation for ministry to the little ones.
Global Mission - Looking for a foundation for cross-cultural ministry
Peer Counselling - An introduction into the field of counselling
Pastoral Ministry - A foundation in the field of pastoral ministry

Four Year Bachelor of Arts Degrees
B.A. Christian Ministries
The Christian Ministry degree provides the opportunity for students to pursue studies in multiple disciples. You will be prepared for a variety of ministry with this degree.
B.A. Global Mission
Prepare to go international with the B.A. in Global Mission. This major will prepare you for missions by teaching you the history of missions and the latest trends. Our MissionX program is particularly of interest to you as each year you will spend time in a cross-cultural setting. In your last year, you will have the opportunity to go on an international mission trip to expand your cultural horizons.
B.A. Pastoral Ministry
If you have a heart to lead others, consider the pastoral major. You will take courses in Pastoral Theology, Counselling, and Homiletics. These will develop the skills you need to pastor in a church or to serve in a parachurch organization, as well as the foundation to proceed into a Mastors program if you so choose.
B.A. Peer Counselling
In this major you will learn the interpersonal and communication skills needed for counselling peers in the personal, work, family, and spiritual issues they face. If you are interested in becoming a licensed counsellor, this degree is an advantageous program for you to take before entering a Masters program in Counselling.
B.A. Worship Arts
If the Fine Arts is more your style, consider a B.A. in Worship Arts. This major allows you to combine music and drama courses to prepare you for a worship ministry in the church. Drama productions, worship teams, chorale, and private music lessons offer you practical experience beyond the classroom.
B.A. Youth Ministry
Do you have a heart for youth and the challenges they face? The Youth major will help you develop both a compassion for teenagers and the skills necessary to effectively minister to them within church and parachurch ministries.
Partnerships
Booth College
Interested in Social Work? Take two years of Bible, humanities, and other courses at SBC and two years of Social Work courses at Booth College to earn your Bachelor of Social Work. By combining the two you can get the best of SBC's community and discipleship as well as the Social Work training that Booth College has to offer.
Canadian Mennonite University
Credt transfers with CMU allows SBC students a faster track to complete university degrees. Use your SBC credits in areas such as BA Pre-Education as well as Majors in Humanities, Math, Social Sciences, and Music.
Cross Current Discipleship School
Students who complete the Cross Current Discipleship Program with Winkler Bible Camp can earn up to 22 Credit Hours toward their studies at SBC. Every year, SBC faculty teach 2 courses at WBC and would love to see you again in their classes at SBC.
Providence College
Students wishing to complete a TESOL certificate may take 17 credit hours at Steinbach Bible College and 15 credit hours at Providence College.
