Student Leadership

Student Council

The Student Council, elected by the student body, guides the student body in matters of policy and practice. Members of the Council serve as representatives on the various student committees such as Yearbook, Recreation,  Social, Chapel, and Spiritual Life.

Student representatives also serve on various faculty-initiated committees such as the All College Retreat, Impact and Mission Exposure Committees.

Care Group Leaders

Every year Student Development chooses a group of students from the returning classes to be the Care Group Leaders. These CGLs are under the supervision of the Deans and each have a small group of students with whom they connect on a weekly basis. Their task involves being models of godly living, building relationships with fellow students, leading a care group, upholding the standards of the community, and working together with the Student Development team.

Dorm CGLs are full-time students at SBC and have the responsibility to help everyone feel at-home in the residence and on campus. Dorm CGLs live in residence and have the opportunity to connect specifically with the dorm students.
