Grunthal Abundant Life Fellowship

Grunthal Abundant Life Fellowship, a non-denominational congregation and Alpha Resource church is seeking a full time Youth Pastor to lead and oversee an established Youth program and to develop a College and Career program for our community. The average attendance is 40 – 50 for the Junior Youth and 15 -20 for the Senior Youth. Our church, with average attendance of 250, embraces dynamic worship and prayer as well as a strong vision to reach our community 100% for Christ. Our desire is to be filled and inspired by the Spirit of God in all we do.

Position

Youth Pastor for the Grunthal Abundant Life Fellowship reporting to the Senior Pastor

Purpose

To ensure that the youth at GALF receive spiritual nurturing to help them grow in their walk with God. Actively pursue those who do not have a personal relationship with God with the intent of introducing them to Christ. This includes directing and overseeing all the various programs necessary to achieve this goal.

Goals and Expectations

• To build solid relationships with the youth modeling Christ-like behavior
• Provide a presence in the local school and youth drop-in 4 days per week during lunch to connect, build relationships and provide a welcoming transition from the community into the church along with other initiatives
• With excellence and creativity, direct and oversee weekly programming and events for both Jr and Sr Youth including recruiting team members
• Develop College and Career program that is relevant and welcoming, provide leadership and recruit team members
• Provide top notch teaching that is riveting, memorable, practical and creative
• Ensure youth and leaders follow all Safe Place Policies
• To actively inspire and train youth to engage in the task of discipleship and evangelism in our local community and abroad, providing a missions trip opportunity once every 3 years
• Communicate effectively and consistently with parents and guardians
• Provide pastoral care for youth and their families
• Administrate effectively and efficiently
• To work with the Senior Pastor to ensure that the Youth Ministry vision is congruent with the vision of the church
• Develop a Youth Band and Praise & Worship team

Education

Minimum 3 year BA Youth Ministry Major

Experience / Skills

• Previous involvement in Youth Ministry
• Proven record of connecting well with Youth
• Demonstrated ability to lead effective outreach and service initiatives
• Effective Communication skills with both churched and non churched youth and their families
• Ability to equip others to lead successfully
• Excellent interpersonal skills
